Open College PhotosBy August of 1968 she had been de-masted in an accidental encounter with a bridge. The College had indicated that a couple of professors had taken the Pious Puffin under a bridge which was too low for her 65′ masts.
The following postcard was sent to Jones College to remind them it was time to have the Pious Puffin hauled for its annual barnacle scraping. Ironically, the postcard itself also shows the Pious Puffin docked at the marina with its damaged masts.
